There are many majors that contributed positively to humanity; these contributions can be directly or indirectly. One of these majors which contribute directly and has an essential work between all the people around the world is business. Business administration is the major that I am studying right now. The reason why I chose this major is that I think business involve in most of the activities in our daily lives. We can see for example that the business not involves between the people only, it involves between the countries, governments and nations. Additionally, talking about the history of the business, it has been existed for a long time, where I think that business existed since the human being existed. In other word, Can you imagine life moving without business? In other word, I believe that the wheel of life can not be moved forward without the presence of Business between people. However, there are many areas of studies that are involved in business administration. For example, there are management, marketing, human resource, international business, and electronic commerce. Moreover, there are a lot of fields that have been found and developed with the development of science. One of the newest fields that have been found is electronic commerce; which is called also E-commerce.

Electronic commerce is considered one of the controversial topics in business in all over the world. We can see that there are many different opinions and thoughts about electronic commerce. These opinions and thoughts show us the advantages and disadvantages in dealing with electronic commerce in almost everything in our life. One of the advantages which I think it is the main purpose of using electronic commerce is, help people to buy and sell in an electronic way. This new business technique helped to increase the global business between all the people in the world. For example, we can see someone buying some products from another country, while he is setting in his home in front of the computer screen. Also, People can buy or sell anything they want in a more comfortable way. Talking about the security of using this new technology, some people argue about the security, where some of them think it is insecure in buying products, because you will be exposure to be stolen by some professional hackers. Moreover, about the quality, there are a lot of arguments in getting high quality of goods and services. Therefore, people have different opinions about electronic commerce.

Electronic commerce is the facilitation of commercial transactions electronically. It also could be defined as the complete set of processes that support business activities on a network. There are many factors that created electronic commerce. For example, buying and selling in the internet is one of the most common businesses in the electronic commerce field. People can buy or sell goods, cars, clothes, and homes on the internet. Electronic commerce is not used on the internet only, but it is used also in any electronic system that enables people to buy, sell, and market.

Market Research is one of the most important success factors in electronic commerce. Market research answers a lot of questions. For instance, how do consumers talk about the product in the market? What is happening in the market, and who are the competitors’? All of these questions are answered by the market research in Electronic commerce. Market research is one of the most important success factors in electronic commerce. Market research can help to create a business plan. Also, it can determine what kind of people will purchase the product or service based on age, gender, and location.

Another success factor in electronic commerce is consumer oriented. This factor provides a lot of things to the people using the electronic commerce. First, customer oriented provides an incentive for customers to buy and return products purchased over an electronic system. It can also have sales promotions, which can involve coupons, special offers, and discounts for purchased products. Second, customer oriented provides a sense of community, where there are chat rooms and discussion boards about products. People all around the world can chat with each other over the internet about products in an electronic market. Third, customer oriented let customers help themselves, where they offer an easy way to use the electronic commerce. Fourth, customer oriented provides the electronic commerce customers with an easy and secure way to make transactions. Most of the customers buy their products by credit cards, so they need the highest security available for their online payments. They help customers by providing them with an easy way to use the electronic systems. All of these services are considered success factors in an electronic commerce.

The acceptance of electronic commerce was not as expected. People have many concerns about electronic commerce. Security is one of the most common concerns about e-commerce. A lot of people will not use their credit cards because they are concerned about thieves and hackers. Looking at the world in general, there are many developing countries with enormous population that can not access to web commerce.

These people are uneducated and unfamiliar with this new business technique. Some people also enjoy shopping in malls and stores, where they like to socialize with people.

At the end of all my research, I have to conclude that electronic commerce is one of the most new business techniques. Most of the things in our lives are not perfect, like e-commerce. It has a lot of advantages and disadvantages. People vary on their views about electronic commerce. Some people think that electronic commerce a safe technique to buy products. On the other hand, some people have a lot of concerns about the security when dealing with electronic commerce. They refuse the idea of using their credit cards on the internet because of thieves and hackers. In my point of view, I think that electronic commerce is a successful business technique that will make our world more developed.
